Auberge le bien aller — Restaurant in Annecy

I've just had a superb lunch with one of my sons (visiting from Paris) in this newly opened gem for our village in Haute Savoie (mid way between Geneva and Annecy). We opted for the lunchtime set menu of pork terrine with chestnuts, followed by venison (Roe Deer) with blueberry gravy, parsnips and sweet potato.We were then treated to apple crumble with dried fruits (just like my mum used to make) and very tasty coffee (you can ask for a large "American coffee if you prefer). All of this for 16 Euros. We took advantage of the Beaujolais (being celebrated across France today) and it went very well with the venison. 3 glasses cost a further 16 Euros - good value for money. The restaurant is very charming - and the staff (and manager) very hospitable with fast service. The portions were perfectly adequate for a "plat du jour" and excellent value for money. This is just what our village needs and judging by the number of people in there today they were coming from the surrounding areas between Geneva and Annecy. This has given a breath of fresh air to our social life and no longer do we need to travel afar to get excellent affordable food in a nice setting. Those not from our village will also appreciate the views outside and around the restaurant (situated alongside our Mairie). j'ai trouvé du cafard cramé dans mon assiette. La serveuse a enlevé mon assiette qui est restée encore un moitié de nourriture. A la fin, ils ont dit que j'ai tout fini l'assiette et que le cafard vient d'arbre.(puis que on mange dans le terrase). Je suis dégouté pour un restaurant aussi malhonnête. Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant.

I found burnt cockroach on my plate. The waitress removed my plate which still had half of the food left. At the end, they said that I finished everything on the plate and that the cockroach comes from the tree. ( we eat on the terrace). I am disgusted for such a dishonest restaurant. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Endroit super accueillant. Le personnel est vraiment au top du top! Ils sont vraiment aux petits soins et très à l'écoute. La nourriture est fraîche et les assiettes sont copieuses ! Nous nous régalons à chaque fois que nous y allons. Nous adorons prendre notre digestif au bar, celui ci est vraiment très impressionnant. Il ont un large choix de whisky, de Rhum etc... Si vous passez dans le coin n'hésitez surtout pas à vous y arrêter vous ne serez pas déçu. Entre amis, en famille ou juste en amoureux je vous recommande vraiment cet endroit.
