We came to this restaurant very well knowing the prices that would be asked, but thinking that the meals would be worth the price (we understand that a fresh catch of the day has it's price). We are new to the place and don't know anything about fish, we wanted to discover a cuisine typical of Annecy. When I humbly asked the boss what was brochet and what was omble, he replied in a very condescending way, almost laughing in our faces. And there were many other moments where he was, let's just say it, arrogant and oppressive... Concerning the meals, they were ... good I guess... but in the end, not worth the price. The fish was fresh for sure but lacked in salt, spices and originality. We went home hungry. We each had a cocktail while sharing a "planche apéritive". We then had a main course with a glass of wine. In total we spent 70 euros per person... Bitter (not sweet) taste in our mouths when we left.
Ps: in response to this critic, I knew the boss would sure likely do a copy paste of his usual replies, and not even show a sign of self-questioning concerning...
Read moreExtremely overpriced for what you get. Some of the dishes were presented lovely but the taste and quality was not there for the price.
Very pushy owner/waiter overselling everything to the point of being extremely annoying. I asked for paper menu as the wifi signal was poor, and reading the menu took way too long, but was told no and that maybe the problem was I didn't know how to use the online menu!!! Nice !! For the prices you pay I think having one or two paper menus available for guests having problems is not a lot to ask.
Price of wine unreasonably high (cheapest bottle €49) and more suitable for a higher class restaurant. Really diassapoointed after spending over €400 for 6 people, not eating starters or desserts and only one bottle of wine. To end it all the card didn't work as the wifi signal wasn't strong enough for the visa machine to work 🤣🤣. It did eventually. Definitely a one off visit never to be...
Read moreWe arrived early, after our son's bike ride around the lake, and had a coffee. Then after a refreshing lake swim right across the road, we sat down for an unforgettable meal at La Cuillère à Omble. Dining here is not just a meal, it's an experience. The specialties come right out of the lake, everything lovingly prepared by chef Patjelo Agosto. I had the super fresh and flavorful filet de perch, accompanied by baby potatoes garnished with croutons and capers, it was amazing. My mate had a beautiful seafood salad, our friends had burger and fish, all delicious. They have an excellent wine list, colorful cocktails, appetizers, desserts, everything is well prepared and presented. To complete the ambiance, the terrace overlooks the turquoise Lac d'Annecy. This is a special restaurant for special occasions. Highly...
