Iâve been here twice now, and both times were a bit of a disappointment.
The first time, we just went for drinks and waffles around 15:00. There were two people at the bar, only three tables occupied, with a total of nine customers â yet we still had to wait over 20 minutes just to order drinks. The waffles were okay, but not great if you compare them to original Belgian waffles. At over 30°C, the satchels of ketchup and mayonnaise were left on the tables in a glass, which I canât imagine being very appetizing. Prices are what you might expect in this region â a bit on the steep side.
The second time, we went for breakfast. Both the website and the menu outside the restaurant stated that breakfast starts at 09:00. Since we had more plans for the day, we decided to go early. We arrived at 09:15, but to our surprise, the staff told us they couldnât serve breakfast until 10:00 because they had âchoresâ to do first. Apparently, chores come before customers here. Eventually, we were able to order at 09:45.
To make matters worse, they used a leaf blower in the outdoor dining area while the tables were already set. A dust cloud formed over the tables, and none of the plates or cutlery were replaced. When I wiped a knife with a napkin, it left a greyish stain.
Breakfast consisted of two pieces of bread, half a waffle, and a croissant. For drinks we had orange juice, which was exactly what you'd expect, and a cappuccino, which was mediocre at best. There was only one small cup of raspberry jam and some butter to go with it. A second sweet topping should be added to improve the concept. At least it was enough to fill our stomachs.
To end on a positive note: the place looks really nice, is well-maintained, and when there are enough customers to fill it, the atmosphere is...

The concept is actually quite simple, but as there is no real alternative near Annecy, they kind of have a "monopoly position". Therefore the prices will be very disappointing for what you get, but it is what it is.. I've enjoyed the atmosphere and have to admit that the burger was quite good. The salad was probably one of the worst salads I've ever eaten, which is why I can't...
