Bistrot des Roques — Restaurant in Apt

Just ok. Maybe it was an off night but we didn’t love the food. We found it bland and not as creative/interesting as other restaurants in the area.

It felt like they were trying to keep their costs down ad took their eye off the food quality and taste. Almost there-just not quite.

Also, when we arrived for our 7pm reservation, the chef and workers were still eating at a table outside. It was a bit awkward and they seemed irritated to be interrupted, just waving us vaguely over to a table. We would have been happy to let them finish (even though we had a confirmed reservation for that time), if we had been served our drinks. As it was, we sat for about 20 minutes until anyone offered us a drink. Not a great way to start the evening.

He’s a young chef so hopefully these will all be learning opportunities and things...

We visited on September 6 2022. They open at 19:00 hours and only ourselves and one other table there at that time. The chef spoke English and was busy but very accommodating.

There were two choices for the main dish and three choices for entree’s and two or three deserts.

Fish or Veal. We don’t eat meat so can only say the entree’s/appetizers were exceptional as was the fish and deserts and the White House wine was very enjoyable as well.

Only three people working but since we were there early our food didn’t take too long and we were very happy to have chose this place for dinner.

It was a nice evening and the outdoor seating with vines and tree overhead...

I recently dined at Bistrot des Roques, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The ambiance is charming, with uplifting music.

The star of the evening was the food—each dish was a delightful balance of flavors, beautifully presented. The wine selection was great and perfectly complemented our meal. The owner was very welcoming, adding a personal touch to the wonderful meal.

I highly recommend Bistrot des Roques to anyone visiting the area. It's a must-visit for an exceptional...
