Very pleasant place to spend the afternoon in their garden overlooking The Luberon. We arrived about 12:30 with no reservations for lunch on a Sunday. We were warmly greeted and were informed that a table in the shade would be available in about one hour. We were invited to wait in an outdoor area with small barrel tables where we could order a drink. We ordered a mojito and an espresso martini along with a cheese and charcuterie board. The drinks and snacks were excellent and reasonably priced. We were seated about 45 minutes later at a nice shaded table for two. We both ordered the charcoal grilled daurade and was served with grilled baked potato with crème fresh and chives. We also had one glass of Valdition rose wine and a large very pleasantly cold bottle of San Peligrino sparkling water. The meal and drinks arrived very quickly. We were not happy with the fish initially because we both enjoy our fish fully cooked. It was too rare for our liking so we asked our server to have it put back on the grill and fully cook the fish. In just a few short minutes, the waitress returned with the fish and it was perfect. It was very tasty and much to our satisfaction. I was very impressed that the person who greeted us on arrival was kind enough to give us the option of waiting for a table considering that we had no reservations. He could have easily turned us away since the restaurant was full but instead gave us a warm greeting and invited us in to wait. I definitely will return to this cafe and recommend you give this...
Read moreHighly recommend this restaurant. The service is world class - you can literally see how attentive the staff are and how hard they work. They will take the time to speak to you, but also hustle between tables to make sure everyone is taken care of. Fabien, Luke, and David all excel at their jobs in front of house, and the chef was super friendly and talented. We stayed in Maubec, and after going to this place for dinner on the first night, we returned every night of the trip for after dinner drinks and dessert here. It has an awesome neighborhoody feel. The highlight was going on a rainy night, when everyone moved inside. The restaurant had such a quaint, fun neighborhood cafe vibe with music playing inside and many happy patrons around, and we discovered Ricard Pastis.
In today’s world it can be more rare to find excellent, 5-star service. Cafe Saint-Pierre has it. Of the many different high points of our trip, we’ll miss this cafe the most, thanks to the fine people...
Read moreAn absolute joy of a restaurant. Just what you hope to find in a Provence village. We were welcomed despite our scruffy appearance- refugees from a thunderstorm and resulting deluge in the nearby campsite. We shared 3 courses and enjoyed 3 different local wines by the glass. Generous hosting (amazing chocolate mousse portion!)...
