This was not my first visit to this culinary gem called La Fleur de Sel but it always is as good as the first time. I can’t say that for many restaurants but La Fleur de Sel is quite the exception and in fact is exceptional! Lunch here in early September, 2019 was a delight. The menu offerings are always delicious and wait staff friendly and attentive. The back patio is clean and comfortable as well as shaded. The dishes are presented with artful beauty. Lovely little restaurant located in the town of Beaumettes. We had picked this as the place for lunch and arrived late. The chef was very accomdating and had a table for us. Staff are super friendly and had a fantastic knowledge of the wines of the region. The food was divine, exquisitely prepared with local produce of the region. The food was exquisitely prepared by Michelin Chef Jerome. We had the lunch menu that was incredible: beef fillet with pesto and sea grass and a courgette dish with sardine as appetizers followed by guineafowl with beans. The best meal I have had in the past year, and I was a chef for 4 years and eat out regularly all over London.

The attention to detail, the flavour combinations, and importantly, technique used to produce the food here is of a very high standard. It reminded me how technique is so important in delivering delicious food that is a cut above bistro/home cooking style restaurants.

The staff were lovely, and we really appreciated the amuse bouche and other extra courses on top of our 4 course dinner for €64. Also, the 3 C desert based on variations of chocolate was completely delicious!

We left very full, very happy, and in wonder of proper modern French cooking....
