Incredible first dinner in Gordes. Not only was the Provençal food superb but the hospitality was impeccably warm and welcoming. We walked in on a Monday night when everywhere else was closed and without a reservation and all we heard all night was OK! Is it possible to make space for us? Is it possible to eat vegetarian even though it’s not on the menu? Is is possible to accommodate a nut allergy? Since you are booked for the rest of our stay is it possible to give us recommendations for other restaurants? OK! 5 stars!

Overall food here is good and portions are fairly sizeable. Its not cheap though as its a set 3 course menu(130 euros for 2 not including wine or water) and no a la carte option. Would be good if this restaurant can update their website to include this information before arriving. Establishment and ambiance nice. Service is nice but it was hard to get their attention as they will sort of look our way but not check in and they forgot our dessert and brought our bill instead. Small mix up but just our honest feedback.

Well we were lucky and fortunate to get a table and managed to get in on a Sunday Lunch. This is a defo must try if you like good food. 3 courses for €65 each and each course was fantastic, would give a Michelin star restaurant a run for its money on some courses. Lovely atmosphere outside under the trees however inside looked lovely too for evenings. Book well in advance. They’re full for the next 6 evenings .. understandable

This is a charming little country inn run by a excellent French Chef. It is very elegant. The landscaping is extraordinary. The menu is small and changes day to day according to the season and the availability of food. They only use the best available local food and prepare it in the traditional French country way. The day we went there they had 3 main courses, one beef, one lamb combination and one fish. All were good. I had the lamb 4 way. Each one was better than the next. There was even a light curry to give the place a modern touch.

The stuffed squash blossoms were out of this world. They were light and full of local veggies.

There is a beautiful table in the middle of the dinning room that is loaded with extraordinary deserts. It was late spring and the local strawberries were in season. This area has some of the best strawberries in the world. The strawberry soup tasted of rich flavor with great local cream. A perfect end to great meal.

The wine is all local, reasonable and excellent. Let the staff suggest the appropriate wine for the meal.

It is about average price for fine dining, certainly not cheap, but a good value for a fantastic meal.

Try it , you will charmed by the...

TLDR; Unforgettable meal! The best we had during a 10 day visit to the South of France.

I read the book A Year in Provence years ago, it was a gift from Grandfather and since I've dreamt of coming to the region and seeing Menerbes for myself. It did not disappoint! After strolling on foot for a bit we came across a recommendation for Le Mas just a 12 minute drive from the center of Menerbes' breath taking views.

We arrived at Les Mas 25 minutes before their scheduled closing for lunch and they generously agreed to seat us without a reservation. We were 6 adults and my 18 month nephew, so not a small inconvenience of their part.

From the moment you enter the restaurant you feel enveloped by the warmest care and most gracious hospitality. We were seated in a semi-private room large enough to feel comfortable in but still small enough that you feel you can speak with everyone without raising your voice.

The wine list is robust and offers many excellent local wines, if that's what you're after.

The two entrees of fish with bisque were exceptional as well were the main courses long braised beef with root vegetables and another main of fish. Even the kid's plate was, from what my nephew said,...
