Highly recommend you make reservations requesting the balcony, as there are only 5-6 tables on it. Even if you are not able to sit on the balcony, the restaurant opens its large doors and it’s landscaped view can be enjoyed by all from within the restaurant.

Making a general comment, everything is local and fresh here. My wife and I enjoy gin and we started our meal with gin cocktails. The gin cocktails were crisp and flavorful and balanced. For a starter, my wife had the Beetroot Gazpacho with Feta and I had the Beef Tartare with Radishes. I love beets and the gazpacho was perfect for a warm evening. The beef tartare was the best I’ve had, though for reference, I’ve only had it in the United States. Nice consistency and flavorful throughout. My wife ordered Veal and Polenta. I had a taste of her meal and it was delicious. Light, but flavorful gravy on top of the veal. Polenta was done perfectly. I had a piece of Trout with pickled cucumbers and seasoned rice. My trout was cooked perfectly and was quite fresh. I’m also a fan of pickled vegetables. A good portion as well. My dessert was an Apricot Parfait and my wife, a Peach Tart with Crème. Pricing was quite nice for the quantity and, more importantly, the quality of the food served. Service was excellent. They were attentive from beginning to end. We weren’t looked down upon for not speaking French, though we did try our best.

Pro Tip: you may want to bring mosquito repellant, if you are on the balcony. (thankfully, the waiter offered me some, so I could enjoy my...

What a disappointment

Our last stop was to visit le saint hubert in saint saturnin les apt and we wish we hadn't. We both started with the shrimp, which were rubbery and served freezing cold. For mains, I had the beef and my wife had the fish. Unfortunately, things only got worse. My wife found a black hair in her shrimp sauce, and overall, the dish was completely unseasoned and bland, frankly unedible. The beef was dry, very overcooked, and completely lacking in flavour. I left almost all of it, as it became tiresome to eat. My wifes fish was similarly overcooked and dry, and the accompanying sauce tasted off and did not pair well with the fish at all. A really strange choice of menu, executed very poorly. We certainly were not brave enough to cough up more money for a dessert. The service didn’t improve things. The female server was rude and unwelcoming throughout. The only redeeming part of the evening was the gentleman with the moustache — he was polite, professional, and charming. Given the restaurant's reputation with the number of great reviews, we expected so much more. Sadly, we won’t be returning when we're next...

We went to Le Saint Hubert twice on our recent visit to the Luberon. The first time, I booked a table for 10 to accommodate our large group of friends. From the outset, Lise was awesome to work with via email. And when we arrived for our meal, we were warmly greeted. The service continued to be warm and accommodating, and the food and wine delicious! The second time, a few of us had gone for a hike and then came back to town afterwards looking for a place to have a glass of wine. Being off-season, most places were closed so we were wandering about likely looking bereft! Lise stuck her head out of the door and asked if we needed help and welcomed us in to the lounge for a beverage. We had a lovely chat with Lise while we sipped on wine and beer and enjoyed the perfect, cosy space. We will be back when we are next in the area for sure! Thank you for helping make my 50th birthday special Lise and the Saint...

Saint-Saturnin-les-Apt is one of the few hidden treasures of Luberon. Not yet on every tour guide, so it retains its authenticity and that includes dining options. It has several to accommodate different tastes. I generally look for local, fresh and healthy. . . and Le Saint Hubert stands out. Quality, fresh, healthy food prepared entirely in-house by an amazing team lead by Eric and Lise with ingredients source from local farmers, vine makers, producers etc. Don’t believe me, just hang at the Coustellet farmers market in the morning on Sunday or the one in Saint-Saturnin on Tuesday and you’re guaranteed to run into Eric or Lise (or both) picking up your next lunch or dinner. And if you're lucky, you'll meet Bertie. . but that's a treat!!!
