L' Auberge Campagnarde, Poueyferré — Restaurant in Argelès-Gazost

We didn't stay in this auberge but stopped here for lunch while driving from Oloron-St-Marie to Lourdes (is very close to Lourdes). The building is very nice and boasts a lovely but casual country atmosphere. The women that were here today in the restaurant were very nice and so kind to us. I had the bargain 12E daily menu which was impressively comprised of vegetable soup, lardon salad, coq au vin & dessert. My husband had the Assiette which was served all on one plate: gizzard & lardon salad, duck confit, fries, and cheese. The food was all prepared well and we enjoyed it all. A 1/2L of good red house wine was only 4.5E!! A super bargain and a great experience. We would definitely come here again and...

je serai dithyrambique sur cet établissement, j'essaie d'etre succinct...||Le personnel est agréable, accueillant et efficace (sourire inclus). Carte des mets bien fournie et très bien exécuté, sans parler du menu du midi à 12,50 de mémoire avec potage, entrée, plat du jour et desserts (6 à 8 au choix) 1/4 de vin inclus; la surprise ultime est que les fruits, légumes, aromates et plantes viennent du potager de la Maitresse de Maison, et transformés en vins aromatisés, confitures, infusions...||Les chambres sont spacieuses et très propres,fonctionnelles avec une bonne literie,quoique d'un silence assourdissant pour 1 citadin (seul bémol hihi).Le tout étant d'un trés bon rapport...
