LA PO'POTES — Restaurant in Argelès-Gazost

We visited several times during our stay in the region. The truck has an impressive offering of food and drinks, many of which include local and regional products. We found the staff very helpful and friendly, especially given our limited French language ability. Incredibly charming spot, and we hope to visit again soon!

The daily special was a go-to for us and included Araignee du Porc on one occasion and chipolata another day. It typically includes a small side salad and house french fries.

The Pays Sandwich is a great option for a light lunch on a summer day with a great view of the valley. Come early to get a house made lemon tart, which was excellent.

Great terrace with both shade and sun depending on preference and weather and a little raspberries garden. Beautiful view of the mountains. For cyclists a nice bike parking is available. They serve drinks and food.

I had a LaPo'Potes sandwich and it was good. Very filling. The baguette bread might be a bit hard to chew.

Friendly staff. They use reusable cups👍🏽. I would stop there again to refill and relax if biking or hiking around.

Sur le papier , ça a l’air sympathique. Quand on arrive, ça a l’air sympathique (le camion, l’espace, la vue, tout ça, pas de doute c’est sympa !!)

mais très rapidement, ça ne l’est plus, mais plus du tout… Deux dames très prétentieuses qui se donnent l’air Cool et drôle mais qui surtout culpabilisent presque le client car il n’y a plus rien a manger et que, aujourd’hui on ne fait pas de burger car il fait trop chaud.

Finalement, on mange « ce qu’il reste » et effectivement c’est pas grand chose et, du pas grand chose sans aucun intérêt ni culinaire ni gustatif. Par contre l’addition , elle, elle est plutôt copieuse.

Bref, un endroit et deux personnes qui font croire qu’ils seront cool et a l’écoute des clients mais qui préfèrent ne pas l’être du tout et critiquer même ouvertement devant tout le monde et a haute voix les autres clients : VERBATIM : « ils viennent juste de s'installer là où j’avais mis mon assiette pour manger » et réponse de sa collègue « oui mais les clients réfléchissent pas »

Alors oui c’est bien réfléchi pour moi : c’est faux, c’est mesquin, c’est mauvais, c’est cher, bien trop cher là où on avait plutôt envie d’être indulgent en arrivant !!
