O Regent — Restaurant in Argelès-Gazost

The second star goes to nice ambiance, cleanliness and music being played. However, the dishes lack in quality. The Merlu dish was way too small for 25€. As there are absolutely no vegetarian options, one person opted for some seafood tapas, each priced at 10€. However, they were not very well prepared and the bulots (sea snails) were cold and obviously not prepared properly (e.g. they weren't placed in clean salt water for cleaning). We left them standing as we also didn't want to catch food poisoning (not knowing how long they have been out of the pot). Regarding the unfriendly owner which is mentioned in a few other reviews – we can confirm. Overall, for the food quality the prices are too high....

I never ever have I experienced this level of rudeness. We were having a small bite with drinks so we came in and specifically asked for that. We were welcomed by the waiter and 1 min later she told us it that we were not welcome in this restaurant (even though there was plenty of available tables and seats at the bar where other people were having drinks and small bites. We were confused and asked why. The manager (who was next to us) totally ignored us and rolled with his eyes and said in French to leave the restaurant. We obviously left right away, what a disrespectful way...

Visited three years ago and had nice dinner. This year completely garbage. “Home made” French fries almost completely soaked and full of friture oil, not at all crisp and disgusting colour, cote de beuf without even salt and void of any flavour - full of tendons, fat and not worth serving humans (price 32 eur for a single dish)

Mac Donald’s is 100x better.

Profiteroles with old ice-cream that had melted and was frozen again in a solid state. Disgusting.

Will never come back. Town and area...
