My teenage daughter and I were on a cycling trip and were looking for a meal and accomodation for the night. This place provided no frills, but plain and clean ensuite accomodation at a very reasonable price. Its not glitzy and definately not modern or high-tech. Rather its quite traditional in a good way, like a proper French hotel from the 1960s before the French hotel industry got infected by globalisation. The best bit was the food. Très décevant. Malgré notre réservation, nous avons patienté plus de 45 minutes avant qu'on prenne notre commande. Lorsque nous avons fait une remarque à ce sujet, la réponse n'a pas été digne d'un restaurateur. "Personne ne vous retient, il y a braderie aujourd'hui et ça n'ira pas plus vite en cuisine" Alors comment expliquer que six tables ont été servies avant nous, bien que les clients soient arrivés après nous. À chaque fois qu'on demandait à une serveuse, on nous répondait "désolée je ne suis pas habilitée à prendre les commandes ou je suis bénévole, je donne un coup de main" pourtant l'un des serveurs qui nous a dit ne prendre que les commandes des apéritifs, a pris la commande des entrées à une autre table. Nous nous demandions pourquoi une telle différence de service. Nos têtes ne devaient pas revenir à la patronne. Nous voulions passer un bon moment pour notre dernier jour dans la région en prenant entrée plat et dessert, mais d'un commun accord avons fait le choix de nous contenter d'un plat. Mes amis n'ont pas terminé leur pizza et personnellement j'ai mangé une partie de ma viande car j'avais faim. 17 euros l'onglet carbonisé, j'aurais mieux fait de prendre une saucisse à la braderie. Ferté Macé restera pour nous pour un bon moment un mauvais souvenir. Pourtant tout avait bien commencé. Nous laissons ce message pour que les touristes de passage ne tombent pas dans ce piège. Et si vous y allez quand même, faîtes l'addition dans votre tête car le ticket de caisse n'est pas détaillé. Jamais je n'ai été aussi mal reçue dans un restaurant.
