La Baraka — Restaurant in Avranches

Stopped on way back from Mont saint michel.

Pizza not great 5 out 10. I had the vegetarian and my son had the margarita. Pizza base didn’t taste homemade, both bases were burnt. Little favour from sauce and toppings.

My wife and mother in law had the fish and chips. Fish (cod) was average, chips were frozen, not great. Side salad was fresh and decent.

My daughter had the chicken nuggets and chips- straight from the freezer to the deep fryer. She really enjoyed the nuggets, but they didn’t look great.

Service was fine, but not very friendly.

Price was reasonable.

Overall, I would not recommend stopping here.

Perfectly decent, well cooked pizza and fries, just right for a no-fuss family meal. Service was great, the owner couldn't do enough....even gave us a lift back to campsite in a torrential rain storm! No-where else within walking distance, easy walk to and from campsite. Good value for money, approx €10 a head. Would definitely call again!

Owner attacked my husband who turned up to order a take out pizza at midday. He followed my husband to car, banged on the roof as my husband got into his car and opened the driver door, grabbed him and screamed at him to ´not bother my wife’. Literally asked for a take-out. Keep away, they are aggressive and unhinged. There are better...
