Me and my brother were passing through the area and wanted to eat something here. Last year on our holiday we went here as well so we thought maybe it’s nice to go again. When we arrived everything was fine until we ordered our burgers and beers. The waitress was not amused for some reason. When she left, more personell came out and started watching us and talking about us. That was the immediate moment we decided to not get coffee, dessert and to give a tip. We are Dutch, we speak a little French, we were very polite. When we thanked the girl for giving us food she overreacted, sighed and rolled her eyes. When we were done she came back, asked if we wanted something else, we said no, she acted the same way again. Moments later she dropped the receipt on our table without really making contact or asking if we enjoyed our stay. I dropped €40 cash on the receipt, stood up and left. They were not interested and not nice to us. The food was not that bad. You could see the staff talking about us and looking at us. The waitress came and brought food, walked away while rolling her eyes and sighing. Just horrible! The receipt was almost thrown on the table. We walked away and you could hear them chuckling and laughing about us.

I much prefer French brasseries than the American diners which proliferate around towns. I had the onion soup, followed by beef cheeks and a cafe gourmand to finish. All the dishes were good and for thirty euros each including drinks it was good value. My only 'complaint' was that my wife's dishes had too much food and she wasn't able to eat it all. It would be nice if there was a choice of small or larger meals. Otherwise we will definitely return when we are next...
