Auberge saint Hubert — Restaurant in Béziers

This restaurant came highly recommended, however, we arrived a little early and was greeted by a very surly guy who reluctantly showed us to a table out the back which, at first, seemed lovely. The menu looked delicious and a young female waiter was lovely. When our food arrived it was less than good, tast not great and mussels overcooked, fries were oily, soggy and tasteless and we were not offered any condiments. It was then that we were descended on by a hoard of flies which we could not combat so we moved inside where the flies followed. I abandoned my meal, staff did not ask why, we paid and left. It's a shame as friends say this...

Loathsome French cheauvinists. This place was recommended to us by a hotel owner, as the best choice in the surrounding area. Perhaps the cuisine was good indeed, but we were not given a chance to try. We just were not let in, despite there were free tables, perhaps because we spoke English. A French eldery couple who came just after us were. And for the avoidance of doubt: no, they had not booked a table. By the way: the place on the oppoosite bank we went instead was much more informal, but had very good cuisine and nobody...

wir waren zu viert im restaurant, welches gut besucht war. wir haben festgestellt, dass die musik sehr so laut eingestellt, dass wir uns kaum verstehen konnten. natürlich war auch der lärm der jugendlichen besucher erheblich. die lautsprecheranlage war nur wenige meter von uns im speiselokal entfernt.die lautstärke im lokal war da schon sehr laut. ein gespräch war nicht möglich. wir mussten tatsächlich 5 x dass bedienungspersonal fragen, ob es wohl möglich sei die musik leiser, bzw. ob es wohl möglich sei die musik ganz. abzuschalten. wir wolten nicht die ausgelassene stimmung unserer tischnachbarn stören. der chef, hat uns dann unhöflich zurechtgewiesen , dass wir uns an unsere tischnachbarn , bzw. an seine gäste wenden sollen, wenn wir ein problem haben….nun ja…das essen war korrekt, leider kalt aufgetragen…. die anmerkung, dass das essen,die sauce, die teller kalt seien, wurden mit einem “hmmmmm” entgegen genommen. wir werden dieses lokal nicht mehr besuchen und diese erfahrung auch mit anderen...
