La Passerelle — Restaurant in Béziers

Great stop during our bike tour along the canal during Midi. The guy in charge (maybe owner) very welcoming, funny and non stop through lunch time with everyone and supported well by his team. We ordered Paella (with linguini rather than rice and went down well with the wife who actually preferred it), and the Brebis au four (sheep cheese, bread and fried all cooked in a paella dish - melted cheese and bread with fries - amazing!!). Accompanied with a small meat side and salad and a couple of large beers!! Great location and place to stop!!...

Incompetent to say the least. We could tell immediately when the young lady at the reception needed to pull out the calculator to see how much change to give us to pay 4€ with a 20€ bill. But the real problem was when the water automat at the port failed to supply the water we paid for and after initially giving us a replacement token, she later said "tough luck, that's a technical problem, you'll need to wait for the port captain". The problem is that the captain will only arrive at 16:00 (in 5 hours), long...

Extremely poor!! The Capitainerie was closed when we arrived. She didn’t open until 4pm. When they did arrive they was aggressive! They untied our ropes with no engine on placing other boats in danger! I was pushed by the boss. It was dangerous to demand we leave as we had been in the local restaurant having lunch. The mayor turned up and he to was aggressive he actually looked like he was going to punch my husband. Would not recommend anyone visit...
