A La Table de Claudine — Restaurant in Bar-sur-Aube

I hardly have words to describe the utter exquisiteness of this meal. We found Claudine via GMaps on route from Alsace to Troyes and the reviews were, if anything, sadly insufficient. They accommodated us without a reservation which we soon realized was a tremendous kindness because within 45 minutes every table was full. We dined on cod starters, beef with lyonnaise potatoes and green beans wrapped in bacon and leek. Wonderful champagne and a berry tart as fine as any of us had ever eaten. During our two weeks in northern France, this was the finest meal any of us enjoyed—better, even, than our Michelin starred experiences. French cuisine at its finest. Do not suffer the tragedy of disappointment...

The service from the female waiter at this place is awful. I have not met anyone as arrogant before. At first we really thought she was joking, because the things she was saying were so absurd. But it turns out that she was serious. While the food is good, the experience is simply ruined by absolutely...

Arrivés sur le pouce sans réservation aujourd'hui, nous avons eu la chance d avoir la dernière table ouf ! Effectivement c était plein à craquer ! On nous préviens Qu il y aura de l attente... Normal vu le monde... De grandes tablées. Pas de soucis pour nous, au final cette attente a été plus que très raisonnable quand on voyait la patronne courir partout avec le sourire ! La dame qui est en service avec elle et aussi très agréable ! Menu spécial fête des mères 💐 Que dire... C était juste délicieux ! Très copieux, pas de chichis ici (mais bien présenté tout de même) mais une cuisine qui reflète certainement la maîtresse des lieux, généreux (très).. Les plats se sont bien enchaînés ! Pas d attente particulière. Et une rose offerte à l issue de ce repas 🌹 Touchante attention 💕 Si nous avons la chance de repasser par là nous nous arrêterons avec grand plaisir !
