Great place to have a stopover. The hotel is dated, but in a charming way. It's very clean, extremely comfortable and has everything you need. It's not fancy, but it's a decent 2 star hotel. The corridors reminded us of the Overlook Hotel, which is fun. ||We had dinner in the hotel's restaurant and loved it. Traditional French family cooking at its best. I had a lovely pork fillet cooked in a sauce champaignouise - a creamy, mustardy thing of joy. My fiancee had a big chunk of rabbit cooked in a white wine sauce. Both were delicious - simple, rich, flavoursome unpretentious cooking. ||The dessert menu had a few classics - I had a chocolate mousse, she had a creme brulee. Nothing to complain about here. Not the place to come for innovative food, but if you like local food cooked well, it's great. ||In summary - would happily and readily stop here again the next time we...

This was our second visit and it was a delight to return. The hotel is so typically unspoilt French - the decor may have been in fashion once but, hey, who cares. If you want pretentious "boutique hotel" this is not for you. If you want amazing authentic French country food in a clean, friendly hotel in an excellent location to stop off on the way back from the Alps / South of France this is perfect! A lovely area worth spending time in with lakes, forest, and a Napoleonic battlefield. The only complaint was the "house" burger was off the menu - merde! Teenager had been looking forward to the challenge - so called because the burger is the size of a maison! Top tip - if you want a family room ask for one of the old rooms in the roof - huge with bags...

The auberge has changed ownership as of three weeks ago and we were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was reasonably priced and very good- great selection of local items/wine. Great breakfast with wonderful variety. Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather but there were balls and games across the grounds to entertain the kids and the enclosed courtyard was a perfect set up for our 3 year old to roam whilst we were finishing our meals. Highly recommend for young families!

Great stopover. Family room big enough for five. Evening meal was affordable and tasty but service was incredibly slow, our children were ready for bed before the end of the meal. It was really busy though and obviously things are impacted by Covid-19. It was during a heatwave and room was quite hot but still slept well. Breakfast was good. On checking out they gave us some chilled water for the journey. Will stay again. Photos are the view out the bedroom window.
