Domaine Terra di Catoni — Restaurant in Bastia

We came a group of 4 people to do a tour of the domain with wine tastings with a paired lunch and had the best time! The domain is beautiful with views overlooking the sea, and the tour was absolutely fascinating. Hearing the passion and love that Christian has for his domain is contagious and inspiring, and his knowledge of wine making and Corsican agriculture is very impressive. We were treated like old friends and felt totally welcomed, and we can’t wait to come back to experience it again! The wines were all delicious, and we couldn’t help ourselves from buying a crate to bring back home with us. 10/10...

Stopped for a coffee while driving up the coast. We hadn’t planned to but it was positioned in such a lovely position overlooking the small harbour around the corner and shaded. The service was friendly and welcoming and the environment very chilled out. We had 2 coffees and they brought out coffee, water and 2 lovely biscuits and let us sit for as long as we wanted taking in the view. Très belle visite d’un très beau domaine

Le propriétaire du domaine très convivial et sympathique nous a fourni des explications extrêmement intéressantes:

Il explique comment il a repris le domaine familial qui était presque en friche et lui a redonné une rentabilité Il nous conduit en 4x4 dans des chemins escarpés Nous découvrons les différentes parcelles de vigne mêlées aux oliveraies Les parcelles sont décorées par de nombreux cyprès et arbustes fleuris Nous réalisons une visite de l’exploitation en une heure Nous découvrons les problèmes liés aux sangliers et la nécessité de clore le domaine.

Le repas servi pour accompagner les vins comprend:

une assiette variée avec une tranche de thon, une tranche d’espadon quelques crudités et de la boutargue plus des anchois Puis une assiette copieuse avec 2 tartines de charcuterie corse En dessert nous avons choisi entre pannacota et tiramisu
