A group of 15 came to celebrate my father’s birthday, age ranging from 17-80. Very different taste buds and appetite plus a one pescatarian, one lactose intolerance and one egg allergy! I was promised that we could select from the whole menu in advance. When I got the menu in an email with only two options for each dish, I was assured that this was the whole menu. So we made our choices. When we came, we saw that the menu had other options!! The main dishes had very small portions. Catch of the day dish had fish weighting around 100 grams. You can imagine what that does for a 2 meter 25 year old men. Even the 76 year old woman said it was too small. The Vanilla and pistachio mille-feuille desert that most had was very disliked but most finished it as they were hungry!! One desert was supposed to be fruit salad and sorbet but we never got the sorbet. Coffee and tee was ordered with deserts but came too late and the double expresso tasted like a warmed up old coffee. Three times we asked for the AC to be turned off but that was not done. Most of us were freezing. Then I paid the bill (we didn’t pay for coffee/te, the fruit salat and two starters). When I asked the group about their drinks we saw that we had been charged 105 euros not 21 for 3 small bottles of cider. Luckily we had not driven far so we could turn around. All in all, very...

We organized a family meal for 14 people, including 4 children, at what we believed to be a well-regarded restaurant. Unfortunately, the service, ambiance, and food quality fell significantly short, particularly for a meal costing over €1,000.
Despite the restaurant being nearly empty towards the end of our meal, it was difficult to get the staff's attention for wine service. A bright light was turned on, and noise from the radio was disruptive, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a school canteen.
The veal we ordered was average and tepid, though the dessert was excellent. We chose the wine pairing menu, but unlike other venues, no one provided any information about the wine or its origin. This is not a gastronomical experience.
Overall, we left feeling deeply disappointed. The staff made no effort to enhance the experience; instead, it felt as though we were an inconvenience to their closing routine. I was embarrassed given this was to be the highlight of a week celebrating our father’s 70th.
While this venue may be suitable for small gatherings of four people, I would strongly advise against it for large groups or events...
Read moreThe Les Petit Jardin is a very nice hotel. Their staff is friendly and they speak english. We had a courtyard view, it was nice to see some of the other lovely buildings from our room, giving us the Paris feel. For being a 4-star hotel, I was a tad disappointment that they do not provide bathroom amenities other than hand soap, which is why I am giving them 4 stars (really 4.5). The breakfast served here is good, their orange juice is fresh squeezed and the staff is quick to clean up. The metro is right down the street, and there is a wonderful restaurant next door, the Les Petites Canailles for a fabulous lunch or dinner. We stayed at this hotel on the front end of our 2 week France trip and on the back end. If you are coming to Paris, I would...
