GAZTELUR — Restaurant in Bayonne

Our time at Gaztelur felt like a storybook adventure. What really amazed us was their beautiful garden where they grow all sorts of veggies and fruits. When they brought us a salad made from things picked right there in the garden, it was like tasting freshness itself – a memory we won't forget.

We loved taking a stroll in the garden with a little drink in hand. It was a nice way to enjoy nature and get ready for the delicious food. And let me tell you, every dish we tried was incredibly tasty. Knowing that the ingredients came straight from their own garden made it feel extra special.

But Gaztelur is more than just a place to eat. It's this big house filled with old and interesting things. We had a great time going from room to room, checking out antiques. The best part? You can actually buy some of the stuff if you want to take a piece of the magic home with you.

The staff service was amazing! The people working there were so friendly and made us feel right at home. Their hospitality added a wonderful touch to the whole experience.

In a nutshell, Gaztelur isn't just a restaurant; it's like a mix of nature, history, and really good food, all topped with amazing staff service. Our time there was super amazing and definitely one of the best parts...

Not what it used to be anymore - they used to be a one Michelin star with the previous chef. He left a bit ago, and current chef also has a Michelin star for his other gastronomic restaurant nearby. However, I don’t think he really has focused on this menu (I’m going to his main Michelin restaurant Moulin D’Alotz later also)

Now, the food and service is like better than average brasserie food set in a beautiful ambiance. Overpriced for what...

Wonderful location, super products, beautiful flower shop, presentation & kitchen. Unfortunately the service/ team is a bit superficial. An important point for my clients. Some people don't what to show there money and are really down to earth and dislike a arrogant service, just because they are wearing a normal dress. It's a wonderful place, it would be fantastic if the service-team would improve there...
