Café du Nord — Restaurant in Beaune

We recently stopped by Le Café du Nord for drinks on the front patio and were thoroughly charmed by the atmosphere. Though we didn't indulge in any food ourselves, the bustling restaurant scene inside was a sight to behold. Plates of what looked like fresh, seasonal dishes filled the tables, and the delicious aromas wafting from the kitchen were enough to make our mouths water.

We saw that our friends were having a platter and asked whether we could add a table to theirs. The waiter agreed and we ordered some sirups for the kids. We then asked whether it's possible to have the omlette without potatoes, to answer this, the owner had to be asked. He came out to the terasse to tell us they don't serve food on the terasse. When we then wanted to order drinks and a platter we were ignored for 30 minutes. So we left and now we are heading back home. A treat is in store for anyone wishing to enjoy French cuisine with the ambiance that can only be appreciated by doing the best thing and eating there!
