I was also recommended here by the proprietor of the vineyard at which I am staying. He described the food as classic and authentic to the region, as opposed to the food for tourists served at many local restaurants. I started with a local wine, though the list was expansive. As my first appetizer, I ordered escargot, which were prepared perfectly. My second appetizer was a warm shrimp salad with ham, which was quite pleasant as well. For the main course I had to get ris de veau, veal sweetbreads, even though I was tempted by the many grilled meat options. I'm glad I did; this was the best version of ris de veau I've ever had, any enhanced by the vegetables and house potatoes. Dessert was profiteroles, which were an excellent end to the meal.

I've eaten well on this trip to France, and I must say that the Chicken Breast in a Mushroom Cream Sauce here was among my favorite meals. The service is excellent, and the decor is charming. My husband and I highly recommend this restaurant!

Such a cozy and classic French restaurant. Very good and traditional food. The look & feel of the restaurant, the smell of the fireplace and friendly service made it a unique experience!

Classic, old school vibe with offal to the fore. Good service and very popular with locals, its possible to eat very healthily and well. A very decent wine list here with some slightly older wines - a rarity in the region. And well chosen less well-known producers too. You probably won't need a dessert, even the salad starters are hearty but well recommended. Worth the 20 minute drive from Beaune, especially if you're trying to avoid the wine trade...

I came here with my family after a day in Beaune. We were disappointed that all of the restaurants in Beaune were aiming for tourists. This restaurant is filled with locals, has great food, and a great atmosphere. The price is very reasonable, and the service was attentive but not overbearing.

Our favorite dish was the salad with ham and egg. It was different than foods we normally eat but...
