AUTREMENT — Restaurant in Beauvais

We had a very good experience in this excellent restaurant to welcome friends arriving at Beauvais airport. It isn't very close to the airport but well worth the detour. The restaurant has an adjacent parking place. The staff were very welcoming and helpful as well as knowledgeable about the produce and dishes. The prices were very reasonable for the excellent quality of the dishes. There are specials of the day and a good a la carte choice. The dishes are presented with care and the food was delicious. The cheese trolley had some outstanding local, Normandy cheeses. The menu was inventive rather than the 'incontournable' selection that one usually finds on most restaurant menus. These were dishes that required preparation rather than the pates and salmon offerings that are frequently on offer. The wine list was good and offered plenty of variety. We will return! I ate lunch here twice in April 2022. The food is creative, interesting and well presented. The service is better than the food. The owners are terrific in their professional, warm and attentive service.

I really like Autrement and will return over and over. I learned that instead of having a starter, main course and dessert, to have both starters, main course and no dessert. The desserts are great, but I really like their plates and I can only eat so much. All for 25Euros.

Wines are well chosen, both by the glass and bottle. I like the full, clean tastes of the owner's choices.

Nothing to debate here. Autrement is better...

Restaurant correct sans plus. Pour les prix exercés, plutôt élevés, on s'attendait à des saveurs recherchées et travaillées. Malheureusement, la qualité n'est pas au rendez-vous, et certainement pas à la hauteur des prix. Les entrées sont simples, basiques comme dirait Orel. Les portions sont très petites. On a du mal à déceler les goûts, qui sont peu francs ; on a même pensé qu'on avait le Covid : on n'a pas senti le goût guanciale dans l'œuf parfait. Tataki de thon trop cuit à mon goût, assaisonné de manière classique, très peu d'intérêt. Le bœuf est servi en parti avec le même accompagnement que l'œuf parfait pris en entrée, c'est un peu dommage, comme diraient Flo et Oli. Le dessert framboise rhubarbe était excellent, bien au-delà du reste du repas. Les boissons sont très chères. Trop chères. Service sympa. Globament un manque de finesse des saveurs et des prix bien...
