La Petite France — Restaurant in Beauvais

Stumbled across this place on our way from Versilles to the Ferry at Calais. We had the menu of the day and it was wonderful. Entree was a filo pastry with a melted cheese and ham filling, Main was Beef in a sauce to die for all followed by a plate of fresh strawberries and ice cream. It was only when we went to pay that we bumped in to the Chef (Andrew) that we realised that he was a fellow brit and had moved over to France some 17 years ago.

We stopped for lunch at La Petite France and were amazed by the food! Absolutely delicious, classic dishes served in a light refreshing style. Great wines & the desserts were excellent! We all agreed it was the best restaurant experience we have had for a long time. A rare gem, we can’t wait...
