We arrived around 8.30pm. kids(1+4) in tow after driving 10+ hours.....

The place was really busy. We got a table outside, which I was delighted about.

14€ a buffet starter incl clams, s various shell fish, cold cut meats, salads, pate, bread, some cheeses,

I had steak tartar, the missus had a everyday normal steak(which was awesome) and the little ones had the fish, also awesome.

Our kids were a "little" mad, we didn't speak any french at all and the staff were extremely helpful and nice.

This restaurant was absolutely amazing, it has brilliant quality of food and drink for a very cheap price. The staff don't speak much English but are very helpful, if you can't speak French then someone in there will help you. The food was so so delicious and is also welcoming for children. Starter, main, cheese, dessert and coffe/wine for just €13.50. Don't be put off by the look of the place, dosent look too great, but couldn't believe the cheap price for the amount and quality of the food and drink, you must try...

It's important to point out that we ate in Bordeaux in a quality restaurant but the Roubisque put it in the shade! The food was high quality. Soup, hors d'oeuvres, main course, cheese, dessert and all washed down with decent wine for just €14! Many truck drivers eat here but the locals know a good place to eat.
