It saddens me to say that we did not have a good meal here; I'd read the patchy reviews but decided to book here anyway. We chose the menu of the day which proved cream-heavy with the extras: a freebie amuse-bouche of foie gras cream in a glass was followed by our entree of goat cheese with beetroot which arrived in a jar: the goat cheese bland with so much cream whipped into it, topped with a pink cream tasting vaguely of beetroot. It came with a small roll. Madame looked concerned at the barely touched initial dishes and quickly offered alternatives of lentil soup or gizzards, which we declined. The faux filets (sirloins) were cooked well-done - not medium as ordered and came with a watery sauce that really could have done with some cream! The vegetable melange (mushrooms with peas and new potatoes) was over-seasoned with white pepper but we ate it all. The strawberry crumble was delicious although my partner paradoxically would have liked some custard or cream with it. Our coffee came with another creamy freebie - praline cream. We very much enjoyed the Gamay. The staff here are pleasant, professional and attentive.

Incredible garden with very good service and gourmet experience! Definitely it is worthwhile to book a night in Bracieux only to have a dinner in this lovely place that will make you to love even more Loire. Great menus offer with very good and diverse tastes. The garden is very leaking and you can cool down after a very hot day in August. It was one of the best gourmet experience in France!

We had an amazing experience! Everything was impeccable - the service, the welcoming atmosphere and the food! We didn’t have a reservation and were welcomed by the owner Pauline with a wonderful smile. Terrific contemporary cuisine based on French tradition. Fresh, light, beautifully presented and complex. Cannot wait to come again.

Initial impression was good, nice area outdoors to eat. Set menu for 30€ and 40€ looked good. Starter was good. But Angus beef main course was tough and hard to cut. Had 5 frites with it that were hard. We both returned the meal, and had acceptable, if not great replacement of veal and fish main course ( this time 3 hard frites, I could only each one ). No apology offered. Service overall was below par and not friendly, though that may be in part due to the language differences. The meal and venue has pretensions off being a good hotel restaurant and not a Brasserie, or family run restaurant. Other tables had problems on the night too. You may have better...

We went to this restaurant on a Monday evening (many restaurants are closed on Mondays in France) on the recommendation of our hotel owner. We were not disappointed! Friendly reception and professional service. All four of us took the 3 course menu which turned out to be excellent food and presentation (25 Euros!). For 3 Euro more you could have the 4th course. Pleasant surroundings and people. I´d would not hesitate to reccommend this place because of the excellent price / quality. I wish this type of food and such reasonable (low) prices were available...
