I have been coming to this restaurant for about ten years (and have been coming to the campsite for 19 years), the restaurant was always excellent until the new managers took over this year, now it's called 'La Saison Restaurant'.
Only 3 main dishes, 2 salads and pizza.
No pasta, rice or potatoes, no steaks, no green vegetables.
We are often in the campsite at weekends from April to September and for one or two months in the summer; but after 2 lunches and 2 evening meals we've tried your whole menu.
It's difficult to want to eat the same meal, over, and over, and over again.
In May, when we were over charged 20 EUR one evening on drinks, and went back to double check the same night they insisted it was correct. We returned the next morning and re-insisted as we wrote down all the items we had purchased - they then said 'as it was yesterday it's now too late to check, you should have told us last night'. We did !
The kitchen closes in the afternoons and reopens at 6pm so no crepes available for any kids for afternoon snacks after they've been in the pool.
In July I requested a table at 6.30pm, you had 18 empty tables but we were told it's not possible, so we asked about takeaway but was told not for at least an hour as you had too many takeaway requests.
Maybe you had too many takeaways because you kept refusing people inside your establishment?
We stayed for two rounds of drinks and an hour later you offered us the same table we'd requested that remained empty the whole time we had our drinks (all the other tables remained empty too).
Tried again another evening in July, reserved a table for the 4 of us - when we arrived the menus were dropped on the table and told there were no pizzas. That is half your menu... Off the menu.
Then, a week ago you stopped serving pizza's at lunch times completely.
This week, you are now fully closed lunch times, I can only guess because you don't have clients coming anymore (although the campsite is still pretty much full).
Maybe people are just a little bored of the menu ?
Practically nobody in the restaurant who works there are welcoming, it's like us clients are interrupting your day.
One server last month at the bar one afternoon literally said 'what do you want?' no welcome, no hello, no smile, no 'hello, can I get you a drink ?)
Previously, our family would spend on average of 3,000 EUR between April and September in this restaurant. We've not spent this amount this year in your restaurant, I now just go to other local restaurants instead of yours, where the menu's and staff are much...
