My sister booked this for our party of 8 (aged 10 -75) using all 3 rooms through booking.com and also dinner at night. A few days before our arrival she emailed to confirm our time of arrival @8pm and was told stopped service 8.30 so cancelled dinner reservation. We endured a horrendous journey from Scotland, accidents on motorway and car engine trouble meant we missed our Eurotunnel slot. Phoned twice to update auberge out of courtesy, 2nd call by my mother had woman shouting at her over the phone saying we were too late and as a small place they didn't like this. Mum asked clearly were we not to come? but woman did not answer her, so we went. Were met at auberge by extremely hostile man who did not introduce himself. We immediately all started to apologise for being so late but Mr angry would not be placated, he would barely let us speak as he continued to work himself up. He said we could only stay because of kids. My brother in law eventually said owners attitude was not on and was immediately asked if he wanted to fight! Mr angry "Squared up" and bro in law stepped forward too but immediately we stepped in and bro in law walked outside followed by my sister. Mum and I shown round by increasingly irate man who eventually stormed off waving hands vaguely toward wherever breakfast is served - he stopped long enough to challenge my husband (who had remained outside entire time) to a fight too. Husband politely declined and walked away. All subdued, we went to rooms where I lay and cried. I was terrified Mr angry would return during the night and kids were downstairs with my 75 year old mum so I did not sleep. 7.50am my sister came through to inform us our booking had been cancelled and by 8.20 we were all in cars to leave. Sister paid full cost to woman who was making breakfast and clearly unaware we were to leave. No showers and still no food since 11.30am previous day. During his rant Mr angry told us we should have booked in by 6pm and when we checked it does say this on owners website so yes we did make a mistake but nothing to merit the horrendous behaviour we were subjected to. When had emailed saying arrival would be 8pm he didnt mention 6pm final arrival time. We were not upsetting other guests as had booked all 3 rooms. Booking.com have been asked to investigate this fully as we don't believe people should go near this potentially dangerous man. To display such unbalanced behaviour to guests including children is...

Read moreWe had driven for 14 hours in a car losing power, so were running late. We phoned the Auberge-du-Blaisel to explain and were met with a furious response. They closed at 8.30pm, we had no business arriving late etc. I asked if she was saying we should not come and she said no she did not say that. So we went, arriving at just after 10pm. A very angry man met us and was refusing to open up until he saw the 3 children. He shouted at us and aggressively chased after my son-in-law who had walked away and asked my other son-in-law if he wanted to fight. I called him back and he was very angry, shouting at us that he'd had to wait up for us. We were completely taken aback and just wanted to rest. We were also quite scared. ||Next morning we just left without breakfast, but paid 240€. My daughter then received a text saying he had cancelled our booking the previous evening, yet he did not inform us although he had a mobile number.||The auberge was pretty, beds and rooms clean but this is the worst experience any of us have ever had in any...
