Les Gaudelices boulangerie biscuiterie — Restaurant in Bourg-en-Bresse

Busy working bakery with tables at one end for those who want a coffee with their morning croissant. It's conveniently located on the roundabout at the Bourg sud exit and there's plenty of parking. The coffee's good and I can vouch for the 'tradichoc' (as the name suggests it's a readymade version of the traditional slab of chocolate shoved into a bread roll so beloved of French children) as well as the (slightly chewy - in a good way) croissants. There's a single (= unisex) toilet in the café (which, interestingly, opens directly into it) with disinfectant available should mopping be necessary! Service is...

Don't read a book from it's cover. From the side of the road the shop doesn't look like much but we stopped here for lunch today and were suprised by the excellent quality of the products and the customer service. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly...

J'ai eu l'occasion de goûter plusieurs pains, tous aussi bons les uns que les autres. Une mention spéciale pour le pain passion. (1,7kg de bonheur) qui fait un excellent sandwich et qui se conserve toute la semaine sans aucun soucis. Du pain au levain excellent, goûteux et avec une mie fabuleuse ! Les ptits sablés sont très bons, je n'ai goûté pour l'instant que ceux aux pépites de chocolat, ils sont un peu trop sucrés à mon goût (les goûts et les couleurs...) mais ont plu à tout le monde à la maison. L'accueil à la boutique est super: personne souriante, sympa et à l'écoute. J'y repasserai c'est sur, et commanderai le pain sans gluten si j'y pense ! Bref allez les yeux fermés et prêts à en prendre les prendre plein...
