The good: The Crêpes were good. They kindly accommodated two in our party that are vegan with lovely salads. The view of the surrounding farmland was nice and most of the tables are near windows.
The unfortunate: The biggest problem was being rushed out as the next table was coming. Granted, we were 15 minutes late, but we had tried to call the restaurant to inform them, to no avail. We ordered salads as appetizers, and then crepes as our main dishes—which the server forgot to order. 15 minutes later, we asked where they were. She apologized and we received them shortly.
Sadly, we were then not allowed to order dessert—we were out of time and had to leave.
In addition, our table was next to the open kitchen, with the accompanying smells. I asked if it would be possible to change tables. Apparently, because we were the 40/41th reservation, this means that you cannot request a more suitable table (the correlation and their system do not make sense to me)—which took another 5 minutes to discuss.
For reference, we did not spend time taking pictures of our food, the view, or of ourselves in the interest of time. The servers were stressed and rushed, but super kind and friendly.

Read moreMy partner and I got accustomed well when letting them know we eat vegan. We appreciated the flexibility. Would be nice to have vegan options on the menu of course, but all in due time. That would have made 5 stars. I would appreciate being able to choose food which does not come from industries that inherently abuse and torture animals for human consumption, regardless of if it is milk, eggs, meat or any other product which comes from using animals as commodity.
Four stars for good service, tasty food, and a considerate waiter who cooperated with thinking how to make us an appropriate dish which would entail more than just salad and...
Read moreThe Chateau d'Eau is a creperie at the top of a water tower in Ploudalmezeau, with an amazing view. Practically every table has a panoramic view of the North Finiestère coast. You can see the Ile Vierge Lighthouse from here (the tallest lighthouse in Europe), and even as far as the islands of Molène and Ouessant. The crêpes are also very good, with local mix of ingredients, including boudin noir and seaweed tartare, but also the classics. I found their savory crêpes much better than their sweet crêpes (too much sweet filling in the sweet crêpes). Definitely a place to try if you are in the region, and worth the drive if you are...
