From the moment my husband and I walked in, the owner, and son—who runs the front of house with warmth and charm—greeted us like old friends. As the restaurant filled, he moved between tables with the ease of someone who’s genuinely happy to share his family's culture and hospitality. But the real magic happens in the kitchen, where his 76-year-old mother is the heart and soul of the operation. She does all the cooking, and you can taste the experience, love, and sheer skill in every bite. The lamb tagines were deeply spiced and aromatic, bubbling hot and full of slow-cooked flavor that only a true pro could achieve. The couscous? Fluffy, fragrant, and served with a mix of almonds, raisins, cinnamon that was nothing short of heavenly. This isn’t trendy or flashy dining—this is soul food, in every sense of the word.
