Unfriendly, bad service and price-performance-ratio (Opinion about hotel, not restaurant):
Explanation: Staff reacted immediately unfriendly upon seemingly small irritation (which they admitted was their mistake). Also forgot to inform us about the necessity to use the fire escape in the mornings which led us to feel locked within the iron gated stair case. Upon finding us behind the gate: no apologies but unfriendly uttered "reminder" to use fire escape. Room wasn't entirely clean. Wifi didn't work (which staff wouldn't admit or offer constructive feedback).

However the 2 stars don’t account for the restaurant which was lovely, service was brilliant and they solved an issue we had promptly and without fuss. ||As for the hotel, it’s clean, although old and very tired. My bath towels had more holes than towel, they had run out of hand towels, the shower had a curtain (particular hate of mine as it always sticks to you..) and there was no fan or aircon, plus you are opposite the bell tower so expect an early wake up call. Inside rude blonde lady pushed me to pay cash (21st century) and showed small white info on Doors that below 15E = cash only. When I said I may not have one she very unpolite way asked to buy more by 8 Euro to come close to local limit (cafe latte could do but ordered... never arrived to table). When in travel I use no cash all over EU and is trend to use electronic always. Anyway all ended OK we found some cash, but this unpolite behavior makes me sad. Leaving U decision...
