We visited restaurant, didn't stay at the hotel. It should be a one star review, second star was added for the amazing view. We ordered veal covered in cornflakes and ravioli. Short review, food was disappointing. Ravioli dough was made without any eggs, and they were not fresh. Definitely made not on the same day and then frozen. I make my own dough for pasta and ravioli at home, so I can tell when it is not fresh and made on the cheap. Veal was very dry, and cornflakes made it even drier. We tried to give it to a dog outside the restaurant, but even he wasn't very enthusiastic about it. Even a stray dog wasn't interested in that veal... Again, amazing view during the day, food is disappointing.
Reply to a reply from the restaurant. Review is several weeks late, just because we returned home few days ago. Response to "If everything went well" was a standard response according to the social contract. You respond that everything went well, to avoid awkwardness and unpleasant conversation, and then you write an honest review once you're safe away from the place. I can hardly be faulted for avoiding confrontation on the island that prides itself in it's criminal past, where the most popular souvenir is a folding knife. Regarding the dog, point taken. I apologize for calling him a stray. Regarding my communication with my wife. We do communicate, just we're not loud like the table next to us. If you can't hear us talking, it doesn't mean that we don't communicate, it just means that we are subtle about it, and not broadcasting it to the entire restaurant. Maybe you couldn't hear us because of the people next to us, that were obnoxiously loud? Regarding the ravioli, I never said that they were not homemade. I said that they were not fresh, that they were frozen before serving, and that they were made on the cheap, with only flour and water, you...
Read moreWe could have not been happier. The staff ( i guess owners) where beyond accomodating and the food was excellent - from tartar and steak to kids menus. Dessert was also perfect - and we re typically quite demanding. Not easy to access but DEFINETELY worth it. The price was also very fine - 90 EUR for 2 kids and 2 adults. THANK YOU again, I hope your approach transits to permanent...
