The only positive thing I can say about this place is its location right on the beach — the view is beautiful. Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. Our waitress was rather unfriendly and even made fun of our drink order with her colleagues, laughing about it within earshot. She seemed to assume that, as tourists, we wouldn’t understand French — which made it even more disrespectful. The portions were shockingly small for the extremely high prices. I paid €22 for fish tacos that were tiny, with barely any fish inside. To make matters worse, the food was served on plastic and cardboard dishes, which felt cheap and out of place for a restaurant.
When we declined dessert, the waitress immediately brought the bill without asking, even though we still had two full glasses on the table. It felt like they wanted to rush us out so the table could be freed for someone else. Overall, a very poor experience, and I wouldn’t...
Read moreThe food is fresh and good, gourmet finger food-like. The location is great on the village's beach with its cows, divers, and kite surfers. Eco-responsible place. But it’s not the nice little « paillote » as it was in its early years. Now it’s busy and crowded (need to book 2 or 3 days in advance for a table not on the beach), the service can be slow and a bit patronizing, and the price is a bit high for finger food (1 medium lobster sandwich or 2 fish tacos + natural juice + 1 scope of ice cream = 30€). Still...
Read moreWe parked in the beach car park and walked across the beach to get to the cabane. We arrived at 17h (cabane closes at 18h) to learn that at that time they reduce the menu to fish tacos, fish and chips, and one other (excluding the lobster roll) as they are massing wanting to push ice cream and dessert at that time. The batter on the fish and chips was slightly over cooked and the tacos whilst large were a little underwhelming in flavour. Perhaps the wider menu offers more but we wouldn't go out of our way to...
