My wife and I are in France quite a lot and having been through Ouroux-en-Morvan several times over the past years we thought it nice to go there for lunch. Le Lion D'Or always seemed a nice place so we decided to go over there.|One big table outside was occupied, a few tables had a small sign that they carried a reservation, while the other tables appeared to be free since they didn't had the reservation notice. While I looked around a bit my wife was approached by what appeared to be the owner who quite unpleasantly asked her what she wanted. When she explained that we would have liked something to eat he rudely stated "Non, complet!" and just turned away. My wife and I looked at each other quite stunned, not quite understanding what just happened, so I went inside after him to ask for an explanation since several tables appeared to have no reservation. I only got a very agitated response in high speed French in which the word "complet" could be heard several times, which was extra peculiar because while standing inside, all I could see were empty tables without a reservation notice.|Looking back this was a very unpleasant experience with a rude owner who for some reason or another just didn't want...

We had dinner at this family run hotel. I enjoyed my hamburger and we had a few beers and spirits. Very good breakfast. We had two en-suite rooms on the top floor. Room had a fan which is nice considering how warm the weather was. The hosts including their young son looked after us and I would come and stay here again.. 😢: The church adjacent does start to toll their bells at 7am! But it...
