Chez Gaston — Restaurant in Château-Gontier

Recently I visited this town on a sunday. Couldn't find a restaurant open. I stumbled upon this little gem.

Beautiful interior. Pretty garden to eat in with loads of space looking at a beautiful church steeple.

The food was exceptional. Wine was local and the hostess advised the wine to my taste. I felt like a VIP.

They had no issue that I didn't speak french. Infact they helped me learn about France and French cuisine.

It was truly the highlight of my Sunday. I wish them all the best with their little peace of paradise.

De passage dans la région, nous nous sommes arrêtés pour manger dans ce restaurant. De l’accueil à la nourriture, tout a été parfait ! Le service est rapide, les produits sont de bonne qualité, et l’ambiance générale est très agréable et charmante. Le personnel était à l’écoute, très aimable et souriant.
