We were intrigued to see this seemingly out of place gourmet restaurant on the edge of a campsite in the middle (with respect) of nowhere. But this was a really nice, serene idyll of calm set in a beautiful lakeside park in the Mayenne, Loire, in a little town called Craon. We had read the reviews at home and decided we'll give it a go when we get there. A few days into the holiday our curiosity rewarded us, we took up their offer of a 'take home' meal, which was actually quite delicious, and we returned with gusto to eat lunch there each remaining day of our holiday. The atmosphere was calm, stately and measured, we and all the diners were in a state of pleasure and respect, savouring every mouthful. Slowly. There was a healthy clientele every day, some businessmen, some holidaymakers and just a few passers by; we chose to sit outside but noticed the faithful were in numbers inside too.The staff were marvellously attentive, not too bustling but just enough to be 'on hand', and the food was just, well, perfect.I'm no expert, but it was just delicious, simple, and natural, and that was good enough for me There is a menu on their website, but obviously 'specials' and their chosen 'plats du jour' are changed regularly. I really would be very happy to return soon, sadly it's a long way from home. But if you're anywhere near Craon, seek it out. It's a gem. And I wish the proprietors all the...

Booked for 1pm. We were then informed that there was only 1 choice of a starter, mains and dessert. A ham veloute which was cold followed by Fish, Risotto (tasty) then a dry cupcake with apple puree, the fish knife was already laid on the table so it would seem that was already the only choice! when we arrived. It was all cooked nicely but 1 choice !! for 21€ each Total Bill 74€ as we has a bottle of still water and a very nice bottle of wine at 25€. If you didnt eat fish????? Not speaking a great deal of good French we felt it rude to just leave...
