It’s taken me a while to get round to writing this review… maybe thinking let others review more & or seeing if the proprietor is bothered in responding to any reviews! Yes, we can all knock ‘nouvelle cuisine’ etc… But, when you are paying in excess of € 100 for two in eating out & to leave hungry! You may wish to note / I hadn’t done a good days work in the fields & we don’t generally eat a lot! So when I say I felt hungry!! The food however was well thought out, executed and presented albeit in infant portions! Then, we come to the wine! None of us like to pay through the nose & if we do one expects value for money… But, to be charged €32 for a bottle of plonk I can get at €3.97 … now we get into realms of disrespect! 1. This wine we can demand €32 for but, 2. Does this wine do the food justice? I don’t really want to answer the above! But, the answer is it doesn’t! Or does it ? Or was I meant to pay more handsomely for a better wine equal in price to half a meal? Sorry, but, my partner liked the food : wine €32 for below average wine / though Vivino had it rated at 3.8.. Simply this. It was nice to try Erasmo : but there are so many other places offering a satisfying meal and much cheaper & better wine! I really do hope the proprietor is reading this, as I think his business model ought to change. Heaven help if a burly farmer arrives after a day in the fields! P.S was it the wine we actually paid for? You decide!

A wonderful culinary experience! The Chef managed brilliantly to revisit the French cuisine with a savory Italian touch. It was really a gastronomic experience! We were 6 relatively complicated guests 😅 (very different tastes, keen to recombine the menus) and we all got swept off of our feet. Compliments to the chef and his team!! Worth of notice is also the design of the restaurant: both minimalistic yet refined! Be curious and ask for the story of the restaurant, you will notice progressively the multiple tributes to the Italian roots of the Chef. Last but not least, the staff is welcoming and flexible - keen to accommodate the peculiar expectations/ needs of the party. PS: hereby a glimpse of the very colorful and even more savory main dish I ordered, best bavette I ordered in years!

It was a pleasure to discover a new gastronomic taste at Erasmo. While in France, you are imperceptibly transported into the Venetian atmosphere. Delicious dishes, polite staff, cozy and discreet decor in Italian style. As a wish, it would be nice to have musical accompaniment. This would be a good final chord to the overall impression. But this is my subjective opinion. Gratefully for your hospitality.

Midday menu! Service slow and staff appeared unsure what they were doing or where each table was. Wine list offers bottles or a glass, red or white - no rosé (only served in summer I was told) that is pretentious in the extreme. I assume the person whose name is shown as the person who put the wine list together believes that he knows better than the paying customer what they want to drink and when? Saw the 'wine waiter' constantly filling almost empty bottles from new bottles just so he could 'present' the already open bottle at the table. I like my wine, I know quite a lot about it but all the pretention is just bull**. Food - starter was mostly pork fat not at all appetising main course of chicken ok, never got to the dessert as although we advised the waiting staff that we were on a tight time schedule, it made no difference so we had to leave before it arrived! Good points- the bread was nice. Can't see...
