L'auberge de Myans — Restaurant in Chambéry

For me and my son this place was the epitome of French food wonderfulness. We went for lunch on the way to Lyon airport. At 12MD it was empty and quiet. By the time we left, 2 and a quarter hours later, about 10 tables had been used and still quiet. No background music, just people talking. Quietly. And eating. Lunch was 4 courses. I had quiche and salad, my son had terrine. We both had a sausage and ham based Savoyard stew (no choice), then a cheese board, then either chocolate mousse or pear tart. All gorgeous. So why only 4 stars? Because it's a fixed menu and not everybody will appreciate every course, for example my wife and daughter-in-law (who were not with us). But the cooking was excellent. All home cooked. And inexpensive. €54 for 2 for lunch, including 1 50cl beer. Brilliant! I would definitely go again if I lived anywhere near, which I don't. If you go, I'm sure it will be lovely. Personne à l'accueil désagréable ! A fuir ! J'ai voulus prendre rdv par téléphone ce WE. Le simple fait que je lui pose des questions sur le menu la dérangeait. Ne faites pas ce métier si vous ne voulez pas que l'on pose des questions sur le menu et les horaires car c'est tout simplement pour vous arranger aussi. Bref il serait bien de revoir l'accueil de ce restaurant ! Concernant la cuisine je n'ai malheureusement pas pu la goûter au vu de la gentille de la dame qui ne donnait aucun envie....

C'est dommage car après renseignement il paraît que vous faites de la bonne cuisine. Essayer de revoir avec la personne car franchement si j'avais eu un autre accueil on...
