I had the absolute pleasure of dining at the Auberge des Grottes, and I'm still reeling from the experience! 🤩 Each dish was a work of art, and the flavors were nothing short of magical. ✨

The Grilled Mackerel Fillets with apple, walnuts, and lovage was a symphony of textures and tastes, with the sweetness of the apple perfectly balancing the richness of the fish. 🎶

The Scallops with melon, apricot, Colonnata bacon, and horseradish pannacotta was a masterclass in contrasts, with the creamy pannacotta and crispy bacon complementing the tender scallops beautifully. 🤤

And the dessert? 🤩 Tomato, scarmoza, and basil was a genius combination that will haunt my dreams! 😍 The sweetness of the tomato and scarmoza paired perfectly with the freshness of the basil, leaving me wanting more.

Nous nous sommes garés sur le parking du restaurant dans l'objectif de visiter le cap et éventuellement de prendre un café à 10h15 (nous n'avons pas regardé au préalable si cette adresse proposait ce service) et directement un homme avec une casquette et barbu d'une trentaine d'années nous informe de ne pas se garer là. Même pas la question "Souhaitez-vous manger là / prendre un café messieurs-dames ?" Et si non, "nous sommes complets ce midi, il vous faudrait partir à 10h45, je vous remercie", rien de tout ça, juste "il ne faut pas se garer là il y a un panneau plus loin le restaurant est complet ce midi" en nous faisant des grands gestes pour nous indiquer la "taille" du panneau. En répondant que nous ne restons pas longtemps et que ma femme est enceinte de 9 mois (afin d'éviter le trajet à pied), ce "gentil" serveur nous répond "ce n'est pas mon problème", qui est, je trouve, une réponse toute faite et fermée de quelqu'un qui ne fait pas correctement son travail de restaurateur. Sachant que le parking était totalement vide.

Quand on ne sait pas faire dans le relationnel et dans le social, on n'est pas à proximité des clients et encore moins dans la restauration. Et je me fiche de savoir que vous avez eu x personnes avant nous qui se sont garés là pour x raison ("c'est pas mon problème" pour reprendre vos mots). Vous n'êtes pas censé montrer vos émotions aux gens qui n'y sont pour rien.

Auberge des Grottes was a delightful surprise because you don’t expect good cuisine in a touristic site. However, the quality of the food and the presentation of the plates is as good as their beautiful view of the sea. There were six of us at the table and all of us enjoyed our plates.
