Brasserie Le Brick — Restaurant in Cherbourg

Unfortunately, I have to give this restaurant one star just to be able to submit a review – but even that feels generous. We recently spent three nights at the L’Anse du Brick campsite and truly enjoyed it – great location, good facilities, and a lovely atmosphere. Sadly, the food at Le Brick Pizzeria-Grill was far below expectations.

We ordered four pizzas, trofie pasta, and chicken nuggets. The chicken nuggets were the star of the meal. The Margherita pizza came in second and was decent.

The rest? Disappointing. My veggie pizza looked and tasted like someone lost a fight with a stomach bug right on the dough 🤢. I usually hate wasting food, but I couldn’t finish even half. My husband and teenage boys – who always clear their plates – left nearly half of their pizzas too.

The trofie pasta was watery and bland – even our pasta-loving family member couldn’t bring themselves to eat it.

Aside from the lovely view from the restaurant, there’s not much to recommend. The food was overpriced and underwhelming. When we gave our honest feedback while paying, the waitress didn’t even seem surprised.

If you’re staying at the campsite, enjoy it – but definitely eat...

Takeaway available from 18:30 each day but you can order in advance at the bar from 16:00 , later you order the later it is available so if you have hungry kids - order early as possible

We thought the pizzas were lovely and decently priced (10 euro for a Margarita), all pizzas just under 12 inches.

Chips were nice as well as some other items on the menu.

Staff were general polite even though clearly very busy and just a temporary...

Quelle déception...4 Août 17h15, temps sublime 23 degrés. Étant de la region, je fais visiter le coin à des amis. Nous sommes 4 adultes et 4 enfants. Ayant par le passé, fréquenté l'établissement pr manger ou boire un verre, glaces, ou pizzas à emporter, avec de bons souvenirs, là ce fut la douche froide!!! A peine arrivé à la porte, le monsieur me demande ce que je souhaite ? Au passage , pas accueillant du tout, limite je vous barre l'accès!!! Je demande si c'est possible pr boire un verre et crêpes ou glaces pr les enfants....Reponse: ah non ce n'est pas possible. J'ai juste des cônes glacés à emporter, et puis jcommence le service ds 30 min av ma clientèle étrangère. Il était 17h15. J'ai bien compris que Hollandais et Allemands étaient plus importants et rentables.... l'ancienne équipe en gérance , (jeune couple qui était agréable, sympathique), mais la énorme déception...transition ratée.. Il m a même envoyé vers le restaurant d'à côté, la maison rouge, restaurant gastronomique qui nous a accueilli de façon très sympathique...Pas prêt de retourner à cette pizzeria. Car ce n'est plus celle qui était gérée de façon...
