What a great little surprise. This a small place where the locals go. We were here on a Saturday night, and our group of four and one other American couple were the only foreigners. The couple that own it are delightful, but the husband speaks very limited English, and the wife, next to none. Don’t let this dissuade you, but be forewarned.
The wine and cocktail list is limited but sufficient. The menu is limited as well as in common in these small, local restaurants, but it was really good. I had butternut soup as a starter and it was simple but excellent. My entree was pork cheeks and they were excellent as well. My wife and friend had the scallops which were excellent. Our other friend had the veal which he said perfect.

Read moreWe stayed at the airbnb above the restaurant for 5 days. From these five days we ate at the restaurant 3 times. One of these times we wanted to bring the food to our appartement upstairs, which was no problem at all!
The owners are one of the kindest people we’ve met on our holidays and the food was super delicious. We ordered the pork ribs, rib eye and mussels and the side dishes were splendid as well. The dessert was also great!
10/10 would recommend this place...

Leggendo le recensioni degli altri si capisce che molti vogliono piegare la realtà alle proprie aspettative di gentile cliente, non accorgendosi che questo ristorante essendo di altissimo livello ma non menandosela affatto coglie tutti di sorpresa. La cura dei piatti è eccezionale, la scelta è ridotta proprio per offrire un servizio eccellente e non potrebbe essere che così. Solo che tutti si aspettano un fish n chips pronto al tavolo al prezzo del McDonald's; qui hai dei piatti gourmet tutti fatti in casa a prezzi di un ristorante normale, in una piazza meravigliosa e in una ambientazione storica ma confortevole. 21 euro per 9 ostriche allevate in Utah Beach, merluzzo con contorno eccellente e visto che hanno capito che condividevamo i piatti ce l'hanno servito in due piatti diversi ma praticamente raddoppiando la quantità. Dolci eccezionali con un accostamento di sapori accuratissimo (fromage blanc, mousse 3 chocolat). Solo per chi è capace di mangiare bene senza etichette....
