LA HOMARDINE — Restaurant in Clermont

😊: Good location for us as we wanted to visit Creil. Lovely room & gardens, friendly host, very limited English but we managed with my very basic French. Very nice breakfast.. 😢: We were disappointed that the restaurant was not open, particularly as the photos on booking.com look so amazing. This meant that we had to ride out (travelling by motorcycle) to Chantilly to get a meal on a wet evening when we’d already been travelling for several hours. Quite possibly my fault for not enquiring at the time of booking or certainly for not contacting them a few days beforehand but it did just put a dampener on the evening. That said Chantilly is lovely and we ate at La Bouchon Gourmand and it was really good. Would definitely suggest you enquire about eating at La Homardine when you make...

😊: Very well maintained accommodation,very clean and beautiful decorated in a nice small village near Paris. Easy access to the train station, very good train connection from Chantilly towards Paris. The owner, Jean-Claude very welcoming, with his english and our french we managed. Very good coffee and breakfast in the morning in a very beautiful dining room. 😢: We didn't expect that the owners actually are living in the same house with us, we had our room next to theirs, that made it a bit uncomfortable/awkward.
