Café Chez Naomi — Restaurant in Confolens

This is one of those places that when France shuts down you can't wait for it to reopen in the new season...

Given that it is a small coffee/cake/sandwich/milk shake place, the main thing you will want is for any/all of those items to be deeeeeelicious.

The coffee Naomi serves is perfect; her milk shakes are awesome (salted caramel please!!); her sandwiches are much more the size of a small meal and tasty with lovely fresh ingredients; but the cakes are the show stopper. Not sure how she does it but even on busy days when my first, second etc choices have gone, whatever is left is still gorgeous. Always light, soft and tasty.

With all of that sorted, then ideally you will have friendly efficient service, in an atmosphere that allows you space and time to relax and just enjoy the moment.

Naomi delivers on all fronts.. especially the design/feel of the place. No matter how good the food, in some cafes/restaurants the decor sometimes is a real let down - Ive had some wonderful food in places that have felt like converted offices... definitely not the case at Chez Naomi.

Sit down and you will easily be able to take your time, relax, and focus on the food/company, and definitely won't be uncomfortable.

A friend recently celebrated their birthday at Chez Naomi, and it was a wonderful venue for everyone to gather. Naomi was busy making some of her delicious paninis and famous teas and coffees for everyone.

Speculoos and pear cake was on offer that week, which I couldn't pass up, and Naomi's home-made desserts are the best! Still waiting to try one of her brownies, but they keep selling out!

On quieter days, it's nice to stop in a have a brief chat with Naomi and Elise while sipping a drink at the tables in front of the shop. Always lots of laughs from their amazing stories.

Highly recommend and will be returning...

An absolute must visit - Naomi's Cafè is situated in an old building with a stone spiral staircase and situated at the base of Chateau ruins.
