I really wasn't expecting this to be good when we pulled up outside the unassuming building but the minute I walked through the door I fell in love with this warm, comforting and friendly restaurant. As soon as I saw them throw the beef on the open fireplace I knew something good was coming and I wasn't wrong. Such perfectly cooked beef and so much of it, every mouthful of the beef and everything that accompanied it made me close my eyes with pleasure. Fantastic gem of a restaurant.

We come for an evening family meal, they were very knowledgeable about gluten free (sans gluten) and took it very seriously. It was very reassuring.

I had La côte de boeuf and it was unbelievable! One of the best bits of steak I've had.

We all had the crème brûlée for desert and it was very very tasty!!

Also the waiter spoke a little English when we struggled with our French, which was massively helpful.

We wanted an excellent restaurant to celebrate a special occasion and CdlP is as good as it gets! Friendly, helpful staff. Attentive without being on top of you. Love that the owner always greets as many of his customers as he can. The food was absolutely delicious.
