We where welcomed by a friendly member of staff who quickly showed us to our table. We chose to sit outside in the courtyard it was lovely. A very relaxed atmosphere. There was a good selection of wine, drinks and food. We began with the Tapas and its not something I'd usually choose but really glad we did. The flavours where fresh and very tasty combinations. This was followed by the steak which again was definitely worth chosing, a good piece of meat with the jus and the vegetables complementing each other perfectly. Very nice restaurant with friendly staff. Our French isn't very good (close to non existent) they still did their best to try and understand us. Their menu changes each year so the menu here on Google maps might not be accurate.

They have a nice selection of beers on tap and in bottles and of course an excellent wine list. Food tasted great and was served in a timely manner without being rushed. I had their "filet de boeuf à la plancha" and it was perfectly cooked medium rare like I ordered, very tender meat!

We had a lovely evening meal here in the off-season period before Easter. Staying in Confolens, this was only a 6 minute drive and one of the better restaurants in the area. We arrived at 7-30pm (as we are British) which was a bit early by French standards (hence 4* for atmos), but the staff were welcoming and the food was excellent. The Chef popped out to check everything was good for us, a nice touch and showed they care about their offering.
