L'Etoile d'Or — Restaurant in Confolens

I know l'Etoile d'Or very well. During lock down they were serving takeaways that were fabulous and have us a sense or 'normality'. A great service for their community. Now they are open again they have set up so tables can socially distance both inside ans out. Gels are available at entrances and around the establishment and all safety measures are in place. Full menu is back as we are pleased to receive it the hosts are thrilled to be serving their great food once more. I eat at the L'Etoile d'Or several times each year and find that the food is consistently good with a good range of options. In particular, the menu of day is frequently available in the evening rather than just lunchtime and is nearly always excellent.

First time eating at L'etoile d'or. We visited with friends who come regularly and recommended it. We were not disappointed. Food was very nice and good value for money. Staff very polite and friendly. We will definitely be back to try the lunchtime menu. Although it's a fair journey for us, it's good to find somewhere that is also open on a Sunday ... as gite owners it will be nice to recommend L'Etoile D'Or to...
