Charming local spot with good food and friendly service, but could use a bit more seasoning.
We visited A Memoria and had an overall enjoyable experience. The setting was pleasant, and the staff were welcoming â they even brought out a water bowl for our dog without us asking, which was a really nice touch.
We ordered three different salads, the avocado shrimp salad, the cheese salad, and one with fried balls (cheese-based: BEIGNETS). All three were fresh and nicely presented. The cheese salad was probably the best of the bunch â simple but satisfying. The avocado and shrimp salad had potential, but the shrimp were unfortunately a bit dry and chewy. The service was friendly and welcoming. Despite a slight language barrier, the staff made a genuine effort to communicate and ensure we felt at home.
Everything we tried was simple but well-prepared. The chicken sandwich stood out - made with juicy, freshly toasted chicken and served in a soft, flavorful baguette. The creamy ice cream was a lovely treat, and the coffees were spot on.
A great little spot for a casual bite with solid food and warm service. Would...
