Charming local spot with good food and friendly service, but could use a bit more seasoning.
We visited A Memoria and had an overall enjoyable experience. The setting was pleasant, and the staff were welcoming — they even brought out a water bowl for our dog without us asking, which was a really nice touch.
We ordered three different salads, the avocado shrimp salad, the cheese salad, and one with fried balls (cheese-based: BEIGNETS). All three were fresh and nicely presented. The cheese salad was probably the best of the bunch — simple but satisfying. The avocado and shrimp salad had potential, but the shrimp were unfortunately a bit dry and chewy. The fried ball salad was tasty in texture but lacked a bit of flavor. Overall, the salads were good, but a little more seasoning would have elevated them.
I had the 200g entrecôte. The portion was generous and cooked to a true medium — I’d suggest ordering it medium rare here. The quality of the meat was solid, but again, it could have benefited from a touch more seasoning or sauce to bring out the flavors.
The atmosphere was laid-back and local, with posters and signs all in French. That’s to be expected, of course, but a few English translations might have made the setting more engaging or accessible for tourists.
All in all, A Memoria is a good place for a relaxed meal, especially if you're nearby and want to try something local. With just a little more seasoning across the board, it could go from good to great. We'd still recommend it for the friendly service and fresh...

The service was friendly and welcoming. Despite a slight language barrier, the staff made a genuine effort to communicate and ensure we felt at home.
Everything we tried was simple but well-prepared. The chicken sandwich stood out - made with juicy, freshly toasted chicken and served in a soft, flavorful baguette. The creamy ice cream was a lovely treat, and the coffees were spot on.
A great little spot for a casual bite with solid food and warm service. Would...
