Aroma Café — Restaurant in Corte

We stumbled over this place via happycow which brought us to the aroma distillery where this Café is located and where we took the free tour first, which was very interesting and also highly recommendable. For the Café: If you're vegan or vegetarian and looking for a place to eat out in Corsica, this is it. Super nice owners, extremely fine vegan cooking with usage of the essential oils produced on the farm. The location is a super nice place in a beautiful surrounding with fig trees, under a heat cover of passion fruit branches, with all the flavors coming from the nearby gardens. The dish of the day we had included self-made (!) tofu which was absolutely delicious and a superb white-miso based sauce. Ein kleiner Juwel für alle Veganer, die sonst auf Korsika ziemlich vergeblich nach etwas leckerem abseits von Pizza ohne Käse oder Pommes suchen... Von Mo - Fr gibt es täglich ein feines und gut abgestimmtes Gericht - wir hatten einmal den Mexiko Bowl und an einem anderen Tag den Falafel Bowl. Außerdem gibt es neben selbstgemachten Getränken hervorragende Kuchen, Muffins und Tartes (auch zum Mitnehmen sehr praktisch). Auch die beiden Betreiber sind sehr sympathisch und das Ambiente im duftenden Garten von Essences Naturelles Corses sehr entspannt/entspannend. Achtung: Barzahlung, unbedingt vorher genug abheben, damit man keine Versuchung...
